Description
After graduating from Houston Community College’s culinary program in 1992, and getting experience working at Backstreet Café, Chef Hugo decided to open Hugo’s Restaurant in 2002. Hugo’s brought to Houston, for the first time, the most authentic cuisine from all corners of Mexico. Since its opening, it has aimed to change the Houstonian’s view of Mexican food, which before then, had been confused with Tex-Mex cuisine. Hugo’s famous brunch, which is served on Saturdays and Sundays, features sparkling Mexican wines, and has set a high standard in the city.
